Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Scenvii ("the Service"), operated by Layernest Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scenvii is a web-based creative writing tool for planning, mapping, and writing vertical short-form drama stories. The Service includes a visual node-based editor, AI-assisted writing features, real-time collaboration, voiceover generation, and export capabilities.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including scripts, stories, characters, and any other creative works ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

You grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI to assist with story generation, script polishing, character enhancement, and other creative features. AI-generated content is provided as a creative aid. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI output before publishing or distributing it.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or quality of AI-generated content. Content submitted to AI features may be processed by our third-party AI providers in accordance with their terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or abuse the Service
• Circumvent rate limits, credit systems, or subscription restrictions
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our permission

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time in a billing cycle.

8. Refund Policy

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with the Service, contact us at support@scenvii.com within 14 days of your purchase. Refunds are not available for AI credits that have already been consumed.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Deleted projects are moved to trash and can be recovered within 30 days before permanent deletion.

11. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layernest Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
